Graduate students from the International Global Asset Management Institute must comply with the "Relevant Regulations for the Degree Examination of the Institute of International Financial Studies, National Sun Yat-sen University, International Asset Management Institute." Students are required to complete 30 credits before being eligible to apply for graduation, including 20 credits of required courses. The required courses consist of six core courses in the six major functions of the international advanced asset management field (16 credits, with four courses worth three credits each and two courses worth two credits each), along with the "Innovative Business Model Implementation" course that spans two academic years (4 credits).
Students present a professional practice report as their thesis, which is subject to the degree examination for graduation. The professional practice report is distinct from a conventional master's thesis, emphasizing theoretical innovation and highlighting practical applicability. It is intended to genuinely address the innovative requirements of the international asset management industry and solve problems related to business model innovation faced by industries and financial institutions. Collaborating companies may further specify practical topics for students. Through dual mentorship provided by industry experts and supervising professors, students receive guidance on their professional practical research, while simultaneously addressing relevant issues in the financial sector/business world, achieving a collaborative learning experience among academia, industry, and research. Criteria for the recognition of professional practice reports or technical reports on corporate projects are subject to review by the institute's academic affairs meeting and management committee, and they are submitted for reference to the supervisory committee.
For specific details, please refer to the regulations in effect at the time of enrollment.
