Ko-Yang Wang is an entrepreneur, author, and educator focusing on applying AI, Big Data, Blockchain, and Fintech to digital transformation. He has extensive experience in strategic business and IT consulting services. Dr. Wang was a Chair Professor at Asia University. He was an EVP at the Institute for Information Industry (web.iii.org.tw). He managed strategy, R&D, industry partnerships, and business development during his tenure. He was instrumental in shaping the Taiwan government’s strategy on cloud computing, big data, AI, smart agriculture, and FinTech. A leader in Taiwan’s FinTech and Blockchain community, Dr. Wang is the founding chairman of the Taiwan FinTech Association (TFTA), a co-founder and a steering member of the Taiwan Blockchain Alliance, the Vice Chairman of Taiwan Cloud Computing and IOT Development Association, and a co-founder of the EU IOT Forum.
Earlier, Dr. Wang held various business and technical executive positions at IBM Global Services in the US. He started and led IBM’s Business Process Management practice, and served as CTO for Industrial Sector, Enterprise Integration, and Enterprise Architecture and Technology practices of Application Innovation Services in IBM Global Business Services. He was the co-leader of the IBM Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Center of Excellence and led SOA for Enterprise Applications initiatives and contributed to IBM SOMA methodologies and SOA for SAP and Oracle solutions. He served as delivery executive and chief architect and worked with Fortune 500 clients including Walmart, AT&T, Cigna, GM, CNH, Boeing, Entergy, and ONR on innovative digital transformation initiatives. Prior, he served as the Research & Innovation Executive for Business Transformation at the IBM Global Services headquarters. He was responsible for IT strategy and innovation projects and led over 20 corporate-wide strategy initiatives for developing IBM's service leadership.

He was honored as an Outstanding Alumni, Computer Science Department of Purdue University in the United States, the Outstanding Alumni of the School of Science of National Tsinghua University, an IBM Distinguished Engineer, a member of IBM Academy, an IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award, an elected fellow of Chinese Society for Management of Technology, and a winner of the Second Smart City Outstanding Contribution Awards. He was featured as the cover story of the APAC CIO Outlook Magazine’s 2018 Special Issue on FinTech and 25 Hottest FinTech Companies. He was the lead author of the books “The Rise of Crypto Economy” and “Smart Cloud, Innovative Taiwan.”
